Chief Executive Officer

Cynthia Mkhombo

Cynthia is a seasoned businesswoman/ Entrepreneur who has been running a successful company from 2004. She is passionate about People, skills development and professionalisation of the service industry as whole. Through Cynthia’s initiatives in the business sector, more than 3000 jobs have been created over the past 19 years.

Prior to becoming the CEO/ Executive Director of Masana, she worked as a Health Inspector Officer at Heidelberg Town Council from 1994 to 1996 then joined Eskom as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer from 1996 to 2000 before being promoted to Specialist Procurement Buyer for Eskom from 2000 to 2003.

She is a fully qualified Health Inspector Officer and graduate of Tshwane University of the Technology, University of Pretoria and the University of Stellenbosch.

Richard Mkhombo

Richard is the Chief Financial Officer at Masana Hygiene Services. He is a finance professional with an MBA in Finance and more than three decades of professional experience. He provides strategic oversight of Masana’s financial matters to help the company successfully employ best practices and make sound strategic future investments. He has been praised by past supervisors for his ability to find ways to maintain financial efficiency and to comply with all laws regarding finance.

He possesses excellent communication skills and can convey information to key stakeholders efficiently. His main goal is the development of Masana and society at large.

Richard has worked for such reputable companies as GEF, Afrox Retail Centre and GM Finance before becoming the Chief Financial Officer at Masana Hygiene Services in 2008.

Amongst other qualifications that he holds, He completed a Master’s in Business Administration from Potchefstroom University in 2000 and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Venda in 1999.

He is a member of the Common Seal of the Institute of Johannesburg.
